Hi there
Have yall checked out the NSW Council of Civil Liberties website recently?
www.nswccl.org.au
Its really quite informative.
They have a recent report concerning the Sydney City council's policies concerning what we are involved with - smallscale, not for profit distribution of flyers, DVDs and such.
http://www.nswccl.org.au/docs/pdf/Pamphlet%20distribution%20on%20footpaths%20(SCC).pdf
If you are involved in street action you should read this.

Thanks Hans,
I have indeed read this before, but thankyou very much for alerting us again. This is not to be ignored.
If somebody on the forum who lives in sydney has the time, could you please research this further and keep us updated?
As I understand it the new policies are currently under discussion, and the existing laws certainly allow us to keep doing what we are doing.
We should keep abreast of developments. |
