6. Osama and WTC 7
Osama had one more trick up his sleeve. At 5:30 PM WTC 7, a 47 story steel frame sky scraper, suddenly crumbled!
Dan Rather of CBS said at the time that the collapse was 'reminiscent of ... when a building was deliberately destroyed by well-placed dynamite to knock it down'. Larry Silverstein, owner of the lease on the buildings said they made the decision to 'pull it'. No one knows for sure what he meant by that statement, which has led to numerous conspiratorial interpretations:
This statement seems to suggest that the FDNY decided to demolish the building in accordance with Silverstein's suggestion, since the phrase 'pull it' in this context seems to mean to demolish the building. At least that interpretation appears to be supported by a statement by a Ground Zero worker in the same documentary:
'... we're getting ready to pull the building six. '
Building 6 was one of the badly damaged low-rise buildings in the WTC complex that had to be demolished as part of the cleanup operation.
An alternative interpretation of Silverstein's statement is that 'pull it' refers to withdrawing firefighters from the building. However, according to FEMA's report there were no manual firefighting operations in Building 7, so there would not have been any firefighters to 'pull' -- at least not from inside the building.
A third explanation is less obvious but makes sense of the non-sequiturs in the above explanations: perhaps Silverstein's statement was calculated to confuse the issue of what actually happened to Building 7. By suggesting that it was demolished by the FDNY as a safety measure, it provides an alternative to the only logical explanation -- that it was rigged for demolition before the attack. The absurdity of the FDNY implementing a plan to 'pull' Building 7 on the afternoon of 9/11/01 will escape most people, who neither grasp the technical complexity of engineering the controlled demolition of a skyscraper, nor its contradiction with FEMA's account of the collapse, nor the thorough illlegality of such an operation. Thus the idea that officials decided to 'pull' Building 7 after the attack serves as a distraction from the inescapable logic that the building's demolition was planned in advance of the attack, and was therefore part of an inside job to destroy the entire WTC complex.
Web research supports the theory that Silverstein's remark was part of a calculated distraction. The pull-it remark is copied by hundreds of websites, many citing the remark from the Ground Zero worker about Building 6 as proof that to 'pull' means to demolish. However, searching sites specific to the demolition trade does not support this meaning of 'pull'. The following Google searches of the two best known controlled demolition sites in October of 2003 did not return any results indicating that pulling and demolition are synonymous.

I've said it once before, and I'll say it again, someone MUST call Larry Silverstein and get an official comment on this because LARRY DOES NOT SAY THAT WTC 7 WAS DEMOLISHED, OR 'PULLED', ON SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2001.
What he says is that they made the DECISION to 'pull' (meaning demolish) WTC 7 and SHORTLY AFTER THEY MADE THAT DECISION, Larry Silverstein says 'they watched the building COLLAPSE'.
Regardless of what really happened, what this man said does NOT say that the building was demolished.
He clearly says 'the decision was made to pull' and then he says,
'and we watched the building collapse'
The connotation is that they were going to demolish it anyway, but golly-gee-wiz the building collapsed right when they made that decision so they DID NOT actually go through with the demolition.
So, when Jeremy Baker said in his article:
'Mr. Silverstein's comments imply that he and the FDNY threw together an expert demolition job in the space of a few short hours on the afternoon of 9/11'
This is not correct, Silverstein was very careful to NOT imply this in the way he worded what he said.
Silverstein's statement does not imply that was done - it is impossible to do that anyway and Silverstein did not walk into a trap like that; he covered his ass with the way in which he worded what he said.
Silverstein later made insurance claims worth $7 billion.
In 2004 a federal jury decided that the Sept. 11 attack on the World Trade Center was two occurrences for insurance purposes, meaning leaseholder Larry Silverstein stands to collect up to $4.6 billion . (AAP)
A physics professor from Brigham Young University in Utah wrote a paper in 2005 in which he analyses the collapse of WTC 7:
WTC 7 collapsed rapidly and symmetrically - even though fires were randomly scattered in the building. WTC 7 fell about seven hours after the Towers collapsed, even though no major persistent fires were visible. There were twenty-four huge steel support columns inside WTC 7 as well as huge trusses, arranged asymmetrically, along with approximately 57 perimeter columns. (FEMA, 2002, chapter 5.) A symmetrical collapse, as observed, evidently requires the simultaneous 'pulling' of many of the support columns. The Second Law of Thermodynamics implies that the likelihood of complete and symmetrical collapse due to random fires as in the 'official' theory is small, since asymmetrical failure is so much more likely. On the other hand, a major goal of controlled demolition using explosives is the complete and symmetrical collapse of buildings.
Horizontal puffs of smoke and debris are observed emerging from WTC-7 on upper floors, in regular sequence, just as the building starts to collapse. (The reader may wish to view the close-up video clip again.) The upper floors have not moved relative to one another yet, as one can verify from the videos. In addition, the timing between the puffs is less than 0.2 seconds so air-expulsion due to collapsing floors is excluded. Free-fall time for a floor to fall down to the next floor is significantly longer than 0.2 seconds: the equation for free fall, y = 0.5 * gt2, yields a little over 0.6 seconds, as this is near the initiation of the collapse.
... the presence of such 'squibs' proceeding up the side of the building is common when pre-positioned explosives are used, as can be observed at http://www.implosionworld.com/cinema.html. The same site shows that rapid timing between explosive squibs is also common. (It is instructive to view several of the implosion videos at this web site.) Thus, squibs as observed during the collapse of WTC 7 going up the side of the building in rapid sequence provide additional significant evidence for the use of pre-placed explosives.

Neither FEMA, NIST nor the 9/11 Commission stated that the building was intentionally brought down, and angry rebuttals were made by Popular Mechanics Magazine of the shameful accusation from conspiracy theorists that building 7 was intentionally demolished.
We therefore hypothesise that Osama brought down WTC 7 by the pure force of his hatred of American freedoms.
