President-elect Obama gave his first conference today. Note the complete absence of any discussion of foreign policy other than an affirmation to continue the agressive rhetoric toward Iran.

"Iran's development of a nuclear weapon I believe is unacceptable, and we have to mount a international effort to prevent that from happening - Iran's support of terrorist organisation I think is something that has to cease."

The press completely avoided asking any difficult questions about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the disastrous foreign policies of the incumbent government.

The real problem here is that the media deliberately controls our perceptions. It is the media, more than the politicians, who control our reality.
